Fired Up Jellies and Jams began in Carbondale, IL with a passion for bringing people together over delicious food. The founders Michael (Smitty) Smith from Springfield, IL and Krista Daniel from St. Louis, MO met when they attended SIU, GO DAWGS! Both shared a love for cooking and hosting gatherings with friends and family. They noticed that the right condiment could elevate a dish from ordinary to extraordinary, sparking conversations and creating memorable experiences.
Inspired by this idea, Smitty and Krista set out to create a line of jellies and jams that would add a flavorful punch to any meal. They experimented with different combinations of fruits, spices, and peppers until they found the perfect balance of sweetness and heat. In 2018, after numerous taste tests and refinements, Fired Up Jellies and Jams was born.
But Smitty and Krista wanted their products to be more than just condiments; they wanted them to evoke a sense of joy and excitement in their customers. They worked with talented designers to create eye-popping labels that would stand out on store shelves and spark curiosity.
As Fired Up Jellies and Jams gained popularity, Smitty and Krista remained committed to their core values of quality, creativity, and connection. They continued to innovate, introducing new flavors and recipes. Many recipe ideas from their amazing customers!
Today, Fired Up Jellies and Jams can be found in kitchens and pantries across the country, bringing people together one delicious bite at a time. Whether it's breakfast with the family, a backyard barbecue with friends, or a cozy dinner for two, Fired Up Jellies and Jams are there to add a little spice to life's special moments.
~Try our Strawberry Habanero Jelly on your morning bagel, but don’t stop there. It makes a great glaze on ribs, chicken, and shrimp. Or you could spread it on a pulled pork sandwich or deli club sandwich.
~Our Cinnful Peach Habanero Jam also makes a great glaze on ham or pork chops.
~Try our Strawberry Vanilla Rhubarb with deer sausage as a sweet and salty treat or pour over waffles for a breakfast delight!

We created our spicey recipes: Strawberry Habanero Jelly & Cinnful Peach Habanero Jam with two things in mind. One, many of us have ordered something spicy from a restaurant and know you get one of two things, either it’s not spicey at all or they’re trying to punish you for liking spicy food. The other thing is, some people have decided they don’t like spicy food at all because they tried something once and got burned. We have solved both these problems by creating recipes that perfectly balance sweet and medium spicy. When asked “how spicy our products are?”, we reply by assuring people that we are trying to sell jelly and jams not milk!
Our strawberry vanilla rhubarb gets spiced up with vanilla instead of habanero! Making this flavor full of excitement, but not heat!
